Article Synopsis
  • The text discusses a possible link between rapid acceleration from activities like roller coaster riding and retinal detachment, based on anecdotal and limited evidence.
  • Two case studies are presented: a 24-year-old woman with a family history of retinal issues and a 25-year-old woman with high myopia, both experiencing retinal detachment after riding roller coasters.
  • The conclusion suggests that while rapid forces may cause retinal detachment, structural predispositions, such as high myopia or family history, are likely necessary for such injuries to occur.

VAD has been associated with various risk factors including but not limited to neck trauma from chiropractic manipulation and significant neck movements.

We conducted a survey of 613 adults in the United States, all of whom self-identified as sports fans. Sports fanship avidity dipped during the height of the pandemic when games, matches, and seasons were cancelled or conducted in protective bubbles without fans in the stands.

The topic of research ethics has attracted attention in Chinese higher education, especially with regard to the "crackdown" on plagiarism. Although higher education teachers have implemented various interventions intended to reduce such misconduct, academic malpractice continues to occur. However, few studies have investigated the emotional challenges that these teachers face when dealing with plagiarism and the emotional changes that they experience in the process of addressing such misconduct.
