A 65-year-old African American man initially presented to the emergency department complaining of headaches, retro-orbital pressure, decreased vision, white flashes and floaters, and palinopsia of both eyes. After complete evaluation, he was diagnosed with migraine with aura and discharged to home with an ophthalmology follow-up. Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate and describe the range and impact of reported adverse visual effects linked to serotonin reuptake inhibiting antidepressants.

Methods: Using data from a global database of patient spontaneous reports of drug adverse events, we systematically identified eligible reports of visual problems linked to the use of serotonin reuptake inhibiting antidepressants.

Illusory palinopsias induced by in vitro fertilization treatment: a case report.

Background: In the current era, in vitro fertilization, a type of assisted reproductive technology, has been commonly used for infertility management and gestational surrogacy. The techniques that are routinely used in in vitro fertilization include ovarian hyperstimulation to generate multiple eggs, preparation of the ova and sperm, and culture and selection of resultant embryos before transfer into a uterus. These steps increase the chances of successful pregnancy following in vitro fertilization treatment many-fold, especially in young women.
