An experimental program was conducted to investigate the effect of shear connectors' distribution and method of load application on load-displacement relationship and behavior of thin-walled short concrete-filled steel tube (CFT) columns when subjected to axial load. The study focused on the compressive strength of the CFT columns and the efficiency of the shear stud in distribution of the load between the concrete core and steel tube. The study showed that the use of shear connectors enhanced slightly the axial capacity of CFT columns. It is also shown that shear connectors have a great effect on load distribution between the concrete and steel tubes.

High-strength bolt connectors, known for their robust strength and ease of disassembly, are suitable not only for the construction of new steel-concrete composite beams but also for reinforcing existing composite or steel beams. Static push-out tests were performed on nine specimens to examine their shear behavior. The primary failure mode was observed at the steel-concrete interface, characterized by the tensile-shear failure of the bolt and localized crushing of the concrete beneath the bolt.

Introduction: In-stent restenosis remains a significant challenge in coronary artery interventions. This study aims to explore the relationship between exercise intensity and stent design, focusing on the coupled response of the stent structure and hemodynamics at different exercise intensities.
Methods: A coupled balloon-stent-plaque-artery model and a fluid domain model reflecting structural deformation were developed to investigate the interaction between coronary stents and stenotic vessels, as well as their impact on hemodynamics.

In practical engineering, due to quality inspections of connections between prefabricated components and construction errors, reserved reinforcing bars in the transition layer may be partially insufficient or even completely absent. This defect significantly impacts the structural performance of sleeve connections, particularly under tensile or shear forces. This paper proposes a novel reinforcement method to address the connection issues caused by the absence of reserved reinforcing bars in the transition layer and verifies its feasibility through systematic experiments.

Traditional stud and perfobond leiste (PBL) shear connectors are commonly used as load-transferring components in steel-concrete composite structures. Composite shear connectors fully utilize the advantages of traditional stud and PBL shear connectors. In order to maximize the advantages of composite shear connectors, a novel shear connector for complex environments was proposed.
