This paper considers stabilization of discrete-time linear systems, where wireless networks exist for transmitting the sensor and controller information. Based on Markov jump systems, we show that the coarsest quantizer that stabilizes the WNCS is logarithmic in the sense of mean square quadratic stability and the stabilization of this system can be transformed into the robust stabilization of an equivalent uncertain system. Moreover, a method of optimal quantizer/controller design in terms of linear matrix inequality is presented. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed theoretical results.

Objective: Measuring causal brain network from neurophysiological signals has recently attracted much attention in the field of neuroinformatics. Traditional data-driven algorithms are computationally time-consuming and unstable due to parameter settings.
Approach: To resolve these limits, we proposed a novel parameter-free technique, called "non-parametric full cross mapping (NFCM)".

Inspired by the way that digital artists zoom out of the canvas to assess the visual impact of their works, we introduce a conceptually simple yet effective metric for quantifying the clarity of digital images. This metric contrasts original images with progressively "melted" counterparts, produced by randomly flipping adjacent pixel pairs. It measures the presence of stable structures, assigning the value zero to completely uniform or random images and finite values for those with discernible patterns.

In this paper, a semantic communication-based scheme was proposed to tackle the optimization challenge of transmission efficiency and link stability in indoor visible light communication (VLC) systems utilizing light-emitting diodes for image transmission. The semantic model, established by deep convolutional generative adversarial network (DCGAN) and vector quantization method, can effectively extract the essential characteristics of images. In addition, indoor VLC channel models including line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) links are established in a 5*5*3 room, while incorporating noise interference encountered during signal transmission into the training process of the semantic model to enhance its anti-interference capability.

The article proposes a novel state-feedback control method for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) nonlinear system with actuator faults and input quantization. The innovation of the design approach lies in the utilization of fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) to approximate the uncertain intermediate virtual control laws, thereby achieving a simplified virtual control design form. Additionally, finite-time control is employed to enhance the system's response speed.
