This work prepared the soy protein isolate (SPI)-beeswax-based bigel loaded with β-carotene, and the effect of printing temperature (PT) on texture regulation was investigated. During printing, increasing PT weakened the rheological properties and printability of ink. However, the mechanical strength and deformation resistance at non-linear regions of products were strengthened after printing.

Solid tumors harbor a complex and dynamic microenvironment that hinders the delivery and efficacy of therapeutic interventions. In this study, we developed and utilized a hybrid, discrete-continuous mathematical model to explore the interplay between solid tumor growth, immune response, tumor-induced angiogenesis, and antiangiogenic drugs. By integrating published data with anti-angiogenic drugs, we elucidate three primary mechanisms by which anti-angiogenesis influences tumor progression and treatment outcomes: reduction in tumor growth rate by mitigating and temporally delaying angiogenesis, normalization of blood vessel structure and function, and improving immune cell extravasation and activation.

Tracheostomy is a routine surgical procedure in patients with severe traumatic brain injury, which requires mechanical ventilation to maintain gas exchange and avoid hypoxemia. Inadequate tracheostomy timing, nursing care, and decannulation would lead to a series of complications, such as aggravated pneumonia and prolonged intubation. The effects of early tracheostomy versus late tracheostomy have been explored.

The development of healable polymers represents a significant advancement in materials science, addressing the need for sustainable solutions that can reduce waste and prolong the lifespan of various products. For the development of healable polymer fabrics, however, there are still unsolved issues because of limited healing cycles and poor mechanical properties. In this work, we present intrinsically healable materials for the creation of stretchable, healable fabrics.
