In this review, we analyzed the data of literature about the glucocorticoid influences on the gastric erosion and ulcer healing. The data show that multiple injections of glucocorticoids at pharmacological doses delay gastric erosion and ulcer healing. However, according to experimental results endogenic glucocorticoids, on the contrary, play significant role in maintenance of gastric mucosal integrity. Thus, glucocorticoids may have dual effect on healing of gastric injury: contribute to healing process or delay them. The initial glucocorticoid action is physiological and consists in a participation in healing processes what is considered as component gastroprotective action of these hormones. During a long-lasting action of glucocorticoids, the physiological effect can be transformed into pathological one, delaying erosion and ulcer healing, and this contributes to the ulcerogenic action of glucocorticods.

Background: Hepatic glycogen storage diseases (GSD) are inborn errors of metabolism with abnormal storage or utilization of glycogen, a complex disease with significant genetic heterogeneity and similar clinical manifestations. This study aimed to describe the gastrointestinal symptoms and endoscopic features of hepatic GSD, including types Ia, Ib, III, VI, and IX, to provide evidence for etiology and treatment.
Methods: A national cohort survey questionnaire was distributed to patients diagnosed with GSD type Ia, Ib, III, VI, and IX through genetic testing or their parents in mainland China in May 2022.

Acquired reactive perforating dermatosis (ARPD) is characterized by its onset after the age of 18 years, umbilicated papules or nodules with a central keratotic plug, and the presence of necrotic collagen tissue within an epithelial crater. ARPD is strongly associated with systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic renal failure, which may contribute to ARPD through factors including microcirculatory disturbances and the deposition of metabolic byproducts, including advanced glycation end-products and calcium. Here, we report a case of ARPD that improved following DM treatment and catheter-based interventions for peripheral artery disease (PAD).
