An efficient method for removal of the hydrazine group from (hetero)aromatic substrates has been developed. It can be realized both on a solid support and in solution by synthesis employing a low concentration solution of trimethylsilanolate in tetrahydrofuran or N,N-dimethylformamide. For water-soluble substrates, the reaction can be performed in water, highlighting the eco-friendly attributes of this methodology.

An unprecedented strategy for unlocking a new and efficient functional group transfer protocol has been demonstrated to synthesize a variety of complex organic sulfoxides chemoselectively, starting from organic sulfides. The strategy of this new functional group transfer protocol is based on harnessing the potential of metalloradical-assisted intermolecular functional group transposition or 'InterGroupXfer' to replace highly sensitive and reactive high valent metal intermediates, [M=X] (X = O, NH).This sustainable functional group transfer strategy employs earth abundant iron catalyst and bench-stable and convenient-to-handle hydroxyl amine derived surrogate, operates under mild conditions in water or even under solvent free condition, exhibits broad functional group tolerance, as well as versatility of reaction scale and proceeds without the use of any precious metal catalyst or additional oxidant.

Background: While dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) show therapeutic potential for spinal cord injury (SCI), post-traumatic oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction critically compromise grafted cell survival. Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is a noninvasive approach that may enhance regenerative efficacy. This study investigates whether PBMT improves the survival and neural differentiation of transplanted DPSCs in SCI models.

Purpose: We aimed to evaluate the precision of preoperative colonoscopic tattooing and intraoperative colonoscopic tumor localization in determining distal surgical margins for left-sided colorectal cancer surgery.
Methods: This retrospective study included 30 patients who underwent laparoscopic colorectal surgery, preoperative colonoscopic tattooing, and intraoperative colonoscopic localization for colorectal cancer at our center between July 2020 and March 2024. Clinical data were collected, and the precision of these methods was assessed by measuring the differences between the target resection margin and the actual pathological resection margin.

Breast cancer remains a significant challenge in oncology, despite notable advances in treatment methods. Traditional therapies such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormonal treatments have long been used to manage breast cancer. However, often patients experience treatment failure, resulting in disease recurrence and progression.

This review paper presents a critical analysis of global research on the liquid fraction of food waste (FW) digestate. The study found that research on FW liquid fraction management accounted for 43% of the literature, followed by treatment methods (26%) and physical-chemical characterization (22%). By 2023, China led in scientific production on FW liquid fraction, contributing 46%, followed by Poland with 10% and the USA with 8%.
