Proliferations of neoplastic perivascular epithelioid cells (PECs) may occur within the lung and extrathoracic sites. The term "PEComatosis" is applied to multiple or diffuse microscopic proliferations of neoplastic PECs. Pulmonary diffuse PEComatosis is extremely rare, with only one case documented in the literature to date.

We herein report the first case of dyspnea with hemidiaphragm elevation in a 68-year-old woman with active giant cell arteritis (GCA), including successful treatment. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography showed a reduced density of the left ophthalmic artery and the left superficial temporal artery with increased soft tissue compared to the other side, indicating that the GCA had flared up and suggesting that the hemidiaphragm elevation might be caused by vasculitis-associated ischemia of the right phrenic nerve. Hemidiaphragm paralysis due to vasculitis-associated ischemia in patients with GCA needs to be distinguished from local infection, tumors, and hepatomegaly, which are the major causes of hemidiaphragm elevation.

Background: Resection of calcified meningiomas in the ventral thoracic spinal canal remains a formidable surgical challenge despite advances in technology and refined microsurgical techniques. These tumors, which account for a small percentage of spinal meningiomas, are characterized by their hardness, complicating safe resection and often resulting in worse outcomes than their noncalcified counterparts.
Observations: The authors present the case of a 68-year-old woman with a ventrally located ossified meningioma at the T9-10 level, successfully treated via a posterolateral transpedicular approach.

Erlotinib, an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI), is currently used in the therapy of several solid malignancies. This agent has been associated with several dermatological side-effects, the most common being papulo-pustular acneiform rash. Herein we describe a unique skin effect in a patient treated with erlotinib for non-small cell lung cancer.

Its histological characteristics are fetal gut-like architecture and tumor cells with cytoplasmic clearing, as well as positive immunohistochemical reaction to at least one of the enteroblastic markers. Hereby, we present a case of GAED with neuroendocrine marker positivity, with whole exome sequencing (WES), and an updated literature review.
