Introduction: Chronic subdural hematoma (cSDH) is a prevalent neurosurgical condition with an increasing incidence due to the rising life expectancy and the widespread use of anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapies. Insights into the inflammatory origins of cSDH led to the exploration of Middle Meningeal Artery (MMA) embolization as a therapeutic strategy. Evidence for the value of peer support for eating disorders (EDs) is growing. Peer support is not a replacement for treatment, but can provide hope for recovery, enhance motivation for treatment, and increase feelings of connectedness and belonging for those experiencing EDs. In this study, we explored peer mentees' experiences of peer support for EDs to better understand the impact of peer support and its role in the Canadian treatment and support continuum.

Through interviews with key stakeholders within skateboard organizations that explicitly attend to issues of diversity, access, and equity, this article explores pedagogical practices that undergird these organizations' programming for justice. More specifically, this article focuses on the interplay between the implementation of practices of to promote, ultimately, . In theorizing this pedagogical approach, this article discusses how notions of "brave spaces" work in tandem with ideas and practices of cultivating "safe spaces" to work toward social transformation within and beyond skateboarding.
