Doege-Potter syndrome (DPS) is a very rare paraneoplastic condition that is marked by hypoglycemia brought on by a solitary fibrous tumor rather than an islet cell tumor. Soft tissue neoplasms termed as solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are rare and these tumors vary in the site of origin, from the pleural cavity, mediastinum, pericardium, retroperitoneal spaces, liver, thyroid, orbit, bladder, intestines, and soft tissues, while pelvic-derived fibrous tumors are incredibly unusual. There are currently extremely few documented cases and literature reviews both domestically and internationally.

Introduction: Blunt diaphragmatic rupture (BTDR) is a rare condition that can occur in children following high-energy blunt thoracoabdominal trauma. In less than 1% of the cases, pericardial rupture can coexist with a BTDR. A coexistence of BTDR and pericardial rupture can result in displacement of the heart and is associated with high mortality.

While endovascular treatment has become the primary modality for most patients, open mesenteric revascularization remains crucial for complex cases. We present a case of CMI in a patient with critical ischemia, leading to small bowel necrosis, where the endovascular recanalization failed and a surgical approach was needed.

Pediatric patients who undergo surgery for long-segment congenital tracheal stenosis (LSCTS) have suboptimal outcomes and postsurgical complications. To address this, we propose a biosynthetic graft comprising (1) a porcine small intestinal submucosa extracellular matrix (SIS-ECM) patch for tracheal repair, and (2) a resorbable polymeric exostent for biomechanical support. The SIS-ECM patch was evaluated in vivo in an ovine trachea model over an 8 month period.
