The planthopper genus Neohemisphaerius Chen, Zhang & Chang, 2014 (Hemiptera: Fulgoroidea: Issidae) is reviewed to include 3 species: Neohemisphaerius wugangensis Chen, Zhang & Chang, 2014 (China: Hunan), Neohemisphaerius yangi Chen, Zhang & Chang, 2014 (China: Guangdong) and Neohemisphaerius guangxiensis sp. n. (China: Guangxi). A revised generic diagnosis is given. The new species is described and all species illustrated. A key to these three species is also given. The species Neohemisphaerius signifer (Walker) is transferred back to Hemisphaerius as Hemisphaerius signifer Walker, comb. revived.

Transfusion safety and blood typing continue to present significant challenges in clinical practice, including risks of incorrect blood transfusions and blood shortages. One promising solution is the enzymatic conversion of all red blood cell (RBC) types into universal O-type RBCs. However, the major obstacle to this strategy is the relatively low catalytic efficiency of the enzymes involved.

Morels ( spp.), as one of the rare macroascomycetes that can be cultivated artificially, possess significant economic and scientific values. Morel cultivation is highly sensitive to elevated temperatures; however, the mechanisms of their response to heat shock remain poorly understood.

Background: Quantifying the rich home-cage activities of tree shrews provides a reliable basis for understanding their daily routines and building disease models. However, due to the lack of effective behavioral methods, most efforts on tree shrew behavior are limited to simple measures, resulting in the loss of much behavioral information.
Methods: To address this issue, we present a deep learning (DL) approach to achieve markerless pose estimation and recognize multiple spontaneous behaviors of tree shrews, including drinking, eating, resting, and staying in the dark house, etc.

Tumour necrosis factor (TNF) is one of the most pivotal factors of the TNF family and plays an essential biological role in immunity. However, the antibacterial function and mechanism of TNFα in teleosts are relatively poorly understood. In this study, a novel TNFα from Trachinotus ovatus (TroTNFα) was characterized.

The deposition of alkali metals on oxide surfaces has garnered significant interest due to their critical role in enhancing various catalytic processes. However, the atomic-scale characterization of these structures remains elusive, owing to the complex and competing interactions among the oxygen, the alkali metals, and the metal atoms within the oxides. In this work, we grew alkali metals (Na, K, Cs) on the copper oxide films on the Cu(111) surface and found the formation of hexagonally ordered monolayer films.
