A study of reference parameters in the CFY (remote Sprague-Dawley) rat.

Methods Find Exp Clin Pharmacol

Laboratorios Dr. Esteve S.A., Barcelona, Spain.

Published: February 1989

The reference parameters for 10- and 19-week old CFY (remote Sprague-Dawley) rats fed powdered feed have been studied: growth curves, food consumption, ophthalmoscopy, results of urinalyses and hematological and biochemical assays, and absolute and relative organ weights. Detailed information is given of instrumentation and methods employed, of the animals, strain and environment, and of blood-sampling technique. In general, the results obtained were similar to those previously reported in literature.

Unlabelled: Neurophysiology studies propose that predictive coding is implemented via alpha/beta (8-30 Hz) rhythms that prepare specific pathways to process predicted inputs. This leads to a state of relative inhibition, reducing feedforward gamma (40-90 Hz) rhythms and spiking to predictable inputs. We refer to this model as predictive routing.

Sensors play an important role in both the continuous monitoring and intermittent analyses, which are essential for the study of wastewater treatment plant management and conducting related research. Given the significant environmental impact of the issues involved, accurate measurement of the volume of water flowing into and out of treatment plants is a key parameter for plant management, ecotoxicological studies and academic research programs. Traditionally, flow measurements have been based on calibrated weirs or venturi flumes, using water level measurements for conversion into flow, according to established relationships.

Unlabelled: Delpazolid is an oxazolidinone-class antibiotic under development for treating diseases caused by antimicrobial-resistant gram-positive bacteria. This study compared the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of two formulations of delpazolid 400 mg with distinct excipient compositions: Batch No. 3183817R (test drug) and Batch No.

Reducing Measurement Deviation by Metastable DNA Probes for Aptamer Thermodynamic Characterization.

DNA reaction equilibrium-based calculations have great potential in thermodynamic characterization, but their widespread applications are hindered by significant measurement deviation of equilibrium concentration. Here, we report the advantages of metastable DNA hybridization in reducing quantification deviation of equilibrium concentration and propose a universal and standardized strategy for measuring aptamer binding energy, termed metastable DNA reference calorimetry (MDRC). We built different MDRC-based algorithms tailored to different aptamer binding models, enabling the calculation of thermodynamic parameters for aptamers with one or more binding sites.

Axis I diagnosis profile according to the Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD): comparison between hospital-based orofacial pain clinic and dental academic-based orofacial pain clinic.

J Oral Facial Pain Headache

December 2024

Department Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The Maurice and Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine, the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University, 6934228 Tel Aviv, Israel.

Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is considered a complex disorder that follows the biopsychosocial model. The current study aimed to explore the effect of clinic location and referring physicians on the distribution of Axis I diagnoses according to the Diagnostic Criteria for TMD (DC/TMD). Eighty-eight patients from a dental school Orofacial Pain Clinic (DentalOFP) and 104 patients from a hospital Orofacial Pain Clinic (HospitalOFP) were examined by the same dentist who was certified as a DC/TMD examiner and compared.
