Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) is a rare tumor comprising only 3% of all odontogenic tumors. It is a benign, encapsulated, noninvasive, nonaggressive, slowly growing odontogenic lesion associated with an impacted tooth. These lesions may go unnoticed for years. The usual treatment is enucleation and curettage, and the lesion does not recur. Here, we present a rare case of an unusually large aggressive AOT of maxilla associated with impacted third molar. The authors also discuss clinical, radiographic, histopathologic, and therapeutic features of the case. Subtotal maxillectomy with simultaneous reconstruction of the surgical defect with temporalis myofascial flap was planned and carried out.

Computationally designed 29-residue peptides yield tetra-α-helical bundles with symmetry. The "bundlemers" can be bifunctionally linked via thiol-maleimide cross-links at their N-termini, yielding supramolecular polymers with unusually large, micrometer-scale persistence lengths. To provide a molecularly resolved understanding of these systems, all-atom molecular modeling and simulations of linked bundlemers in explicit solvent are presented.

Selective sensing of NH and NO on WSe monolayers based on defect concentration regulation.

Defect engineering is an important method to control material properties. In this paper, large-scale sampling density functional theory (DFT) was used to investigate the adsorption and sensing behavior of NH and NO on a WSe monolayer, with a focus on the effect of selenium vacancy concentration. The results demonstrate that selectivity is inhibited on a perfect monolayer due to the similar adsorption energy of the two gases, NH and NO, while selectivity can be obtained for both of them under different selenium vacancy concentrations (NH about 2-5.

infects the urogenital tract of men and women and causes the sexually transmitted infection trichomoniasis. Since the publication of its draft genome in 2007, the genome has drawn attention for several reasons, including its unusually large size, massive expansion of gene families, and high repeat content. The fragmented nature of the draft assembly made it challenging to obtain accurate metrics of features, such as spliceosomal introns.

Lymphomatoid Papulosis Type E With T-Cell Receptor Gamma Positivity.

Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.

Lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP) is currently categorized as a primary lymphoproliferative disorder that follows a chronic, recurrent clinical course. The diagnosis of LyP is mainly based on clinical presentation and histopathological correlation. Six subtypes of LyP have been described and recognized, each with different histological features and sometimes distinct clinical presentations.

BACKGROUND Cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) is a rare (1: 1 000 000) autosomal dominant congenital skeletal dysplasia characterized by widely patent calvarial sutures, clavicular hypoplasia, supernumerary teeth, and short stature. Only a minority of the cases are diagnosed early after birth. We present another case of proven CCD presenting with typical neonatal phenotype to promote awareness of this rare disorder.
