The aim of this paper was to calculate the True Coincidence Summing Correction Factors (TSCFs) for an HPGe coaxial detector in order to correct the summing effect as a result of the presence of (88)Y and (60)Co in a multigamma source used to obtain a calibration efficiency curve. Results were obtained for three volumetric sources using the Monte Carlo toolkit, GEANT4. The first part of this paper deals with modeling the detector in order to obtain a simulated full energy peak efficiency curve. A quantitative comparison between the measured and simulated values was made across the entire energy range under study. The True Summing Correction Factors were calculated for (88)Y and (60)Co using the full peak efficiencies obtained with GEANT4. This methodology was subsequently applied to (134)Cs, and presented a complex decay scheme.

The orbital-free density functional theory (OF-DFT) based method is a convenient tool to carry out electronic structure calculations scaling almost linearly with the number of electrons. However, the main impediment in the application of this method is the unavailability of the accurate form for the non-interacting kinetic energy functional in terms of electron density. The Pauli kinetic energy functional is the unknown part of the kinetic energy functional, and the corresponding Pauli potential appears in the governing Euler equation.

Objective: This study assessed patient's satisfaction after orthodontic treatment in the postgraduate orthodontic clinic of the Dental School at the University of Athens (Athens, Greece), and investigated possible correlations between satisfaction after orthodontic treatment and life satisfaction, alongside the influence of age, gender, severity of initial orthodontic malocclusion and duration of retention period.
Material And Methods: Patients aged 12 years and above, who had recently completed comprehensive orthodontic treatment, participated completing two questionnaires: a 37-item questionnaire, validated for assessing orthodontic treatment satisfaction; and the 5-item Satisfaction with Life Scale, a valid and reliable measure of life satisfaction. Scores from each questionnaire were summed for each patient.
