Introduction: Around the world, rates of induction of labour (IOL) among nulliparous mothers have increased in the last 10 years. In Australia, rates have increased over the last decade by 43%, from 32% to 46%. There is growing concern about the rapid rise in IOL before 41 weeks for nulliparous women without medical complications because of the associated increased rates of caesarean section, reduced satisfaction with birth, and birth trauma.

Enhancing ionic conductivity and expanding the electrochemical window in polymer electrolytes via ferroelectric-metal-organic-frameworks to manipulate charge spatial distribution.

National Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Lithium-ion Batteries and Materials Preparation Technology, Key Laboratory of Advanced Batteries Materials of Yunnan Province, Faculty of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Kunming 650093 China. Electronic address:

Poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO)-based polymer electrolytes have promising applications in all-solid-state lithium metal batteries. However, their wide range of practical applications is severely limited by their relatively low room temperature lithium ion conductivity and narrow electrochemical window. In this paper, based on the ability of spontaneous polarization of ferroelectric materials to generate polarization field under applied electric field and the characteristics of Metal-Organic-Frameworks (MOFs) materials with regular adjustable pore structure, a Nano material combining ferroelectric materials and MOF (NUS-6(Hf)-MOF) was first proposed to be added to PEO polymer electrolyte as a filler.

The aim of this study was to isolate strains with excellent fermentation performance from pickles, thus enhancing the quality of rapid, low-salt fermented mustard leaves (Brassica juncea var. multiceps) through process optimization and inoculation fermentation. A high-throughput screening method for acid-producing strains was developed, significantly improving screening efficiency.

The pseudouridylase Pus1 catalyzes pseudouridine (Ψ) formation at multiple uridine residues in tRNAs, and in some snRNAs and mRNAs. Although Pus1 is highly conserved, and mutations are associated with human disease, little is known about eukaryotic Pus1 biology. Here, we show that Schizosaccharomyces pombe pus1Δ mutants are temperature sensitive due to decay of tRNAIle(UAU), as tRNAIle(UAU) levels are reduced, and its overexpression suppresses the defect.

College of Nursing, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Ministry of the National Guard Health Affairs Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Medical-Surgical Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt.

Background: Endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation comprise common life support interventions for patients in intensive care units (ICUs). Premature or delayed extubation increases the risk of morbidity and mortality. Despite following weaning protocols, 10-20 % of patients fail extubation within 48 h.
