There is an increasing social pressure to train medical students with a level of competency sufficient to face clinical practice already at the end of their curriculum. The case-based learning (CBL) is an efficient teaching method to prepare students for clinical practice through the use of real or realistic clinical cases. In this regard, the Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) could be a good source of real patient stories that can be transformed into educative cases. In this paper a formal approach to generate Health Case Studies from EHR is defined.

Clinical Relevance: Interprofessional education and collaborative working are known to improve patient outcomes. The evidence to support this approach in optometry is lacking.
Background: There is no published evidence into the effectiveness of interprofessional education for pharmacy and optometry students.

Background: In modern clinical settings, interdisciplinary clinical reasoning skills and associated education are pivotal and should be encouraged for residency training.
Methods: An interdisciplinary course on clinical reasoning was developed for residents based on ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. We collected frequently encountered consultation cases as our teaching resources with the methods of scenario case-based learning.

Background: To explore the application value of multi-disciplinary collaborative diagnosis (MDT) and treatment combined with the case-based learning (CBL) teaching method based on real clinical cases in gynecological malignant tumor practice teaching.
Methods: A total of 120 clinical students who were interning in the Department of Gynecology in our hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into a research group ( = 60) and a control group ( = 60) according to the random number table method. The research group adopted a MDT combined with the CBL teaching model, while the control group followed a traditional teaching model.

Background: Computer-assisted learning (CAL) has the potential to enhance learning outcomes and satisfaction. However, there are limited reports in the literature that describe or evaluate the implementation of this method to promote competency-based learning in removable partial denture (RPD) design. Therefore, this study aimed to: (1) compare the effectiveness of different learning methods using a 3D software-aided RPD design program, (2) evaluate the learning outcomes associated with these different methods following active learning, and (3) assess students' satisfaction.

Objective: Machine learning (ML) has enabled healthcare discoveries by facilitating efficient modeling, such as for cancer screening. Unlike clinical trials, real-world data used in ML are often gathered for multiple purposes, leading to bias and missing information for a specific classification task. This challenge is especially pronounced in healthcare because of stringent ethical considerations and resource constraints.
