The aim is to achieve complete removal of metastatic lesions while preserving adequate liver function. This study aimed to explore the association between carotid intraplaque neovascularization (IPN) in mild stenosis and ischemic stroke, using contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) imaging.
Methods: This retrospective observational study included 369 patients from July 2021 to March 2022.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the imaging features of bilateral knees, ankles, and the first metatarsophalangeal joint using high-frequency ultrasonography in male patients with familial and sporadic primary gout and sought to elucidate the relationship between the presence of tophi and various clinical indicators.
Method: Male patients with primary gouty arthritis (GA) in the acute phase presenting to the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College from November 2020 to June 2022 were enrolled and classified into familial and sporadic gout groups. Comparative analyses of their clinical data and ultrasonographic imaging findings of the knees, ankles, and first metatarsophalangeal joints were performed between the groups.

Two sporadic cases of legionellosis occurring in consecutive years were confirmed by positive antigenuria to serogroup 1 in individuals with limited mobility who were confined to their homes. Both cases had a history of using ultrasonic humidifiers and of low exposure to other possible sources of infection. This study was conducted through an expanded epidemiological survey and home inspection.

Introduction: An evaluation and prognosis of complications of different treatment options in patients with staghorn stones are necessary to choose optimal surgical strategy and perioperative prophylaxis on individualized basis. Intra- and postoperative thrombotic and hemorrhagic complications are not still well-studied in modern operative urology.
Aim: To explore the influence of morpho-densitometry changes of blood platelets on perioperative thrombotic and hemorrhagic complications in patients with staghorn nephrolithiasis after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
