The adverse effect of ambient PM exposure on very early pregnancy (VEP) remains controversial among epidemiological studies but is supported by toxicological evidence. We adopted a multicenter retrospective cohort of 141,040 cycles to evaluate the effect of PM exposure on the VEP using the fertilization and embryo transfer platform and high-resolution PM data in China. We first investigated the association between PM exposure 1 week before and 1 week after the embryo transfer date and VEP.

Optomechanical sensors provide a platform for probing acoustic/vibrational properties at the micro-scale. Here, we used cavity optomechanical sensors to interrogate the acoustic environment of adjacent air bubbles in water. We report experimental observations of the volume acoustic modes of these bubbles, including both the fundamental Minnaert breathing mode and a family of higher-order modes extending into the megahertz frequency range.

Air-conditioning systems, composed mainly of humidity control and heat reallocation units, play a pivotal role in upholding superior air quality and human well-being across diverse environments ranging from international space stations and pharmacies to granaries and cultural relic preservation sites, and to commercial and residential buildings. The adoption of sorbent water as the working pair and low-grade renewable or waste heat in adsorption-driven air-conditioning presents a state-of-the-art solution, notably for its energy efficiency and eco-friendliness vis-à-vis conventional electricity-driven vapor compression cycles. Here, we introduce a rational π-extension strategy to engineer an ultrarobust and highly porous zirconium metal-organic framework (Zr-MOF).

The relationship between air pollution exposure and non-allergic rhinitis (NAR) risk in children is underexplored and uncertain. Therefore, the impact of numerous air pollutants on the incidence of NAR in a Chinese pediatric population were investigated. Artificial photosynthesis of hydrogen peroxide (HO) from ambient air, water, and sunlight has attracted considerable attention recently. Despite being extremely challenging to synthesis, sp carbon-conjugated covalent organic frameworks (COFs) can be powerful and efficient materials for the photosynthesis of HO due to desirable properties. Herein, we report the designed synthesis of an sp carbon-conjugated COF, BTD-spc-COF, from benzothiadiazole and triazine units with high crystallinity and ultralarge mesopores (∼4 nm).
