A 16-year-old girl born from a nonconsanguineous marriage presented to the dermatology out-patient department with innumerable hyperpigmented macules predominantly over the photoexposed parts of her body involving the face, neck, chest, back, of forearms, hands, and legs with a history of photosensitivity and photophobia (Figure 1). These were interspersed with multiple depigmented macules over her arms and legs since, she was three years old. Tumor predisposition syndromes represent a heterogeneous group of multiorgan disorders, with many having substantial central nervous system involvement. This article highlights the common and uncommon manifestations of these syndromic disorders, the underlying genetic pathways, and the imaging findings. Radiologists must be aware of the diagnostic criteria, optimal imaging techniques (both for diagnosis and surveillance), as well as the innumerable imaging manifestations of these syndromes.

Generalized Comedones, Acne, and Hidradenitis Suppurativa in a Patient with an Missense Mutation.

Mutations in the fibroblast growth factor-receptor gene 2 () gene have been implicated in numerous diseases, including nevus comedonicus (NC) and naevoid acne that have somatic missense mutations in in the affected tissue. A patient presented in our department with unusual, innumerable large comedones throughout his back reminiscient of NC, as well as multifocal hidradenitis suppurativa and acne. Topical and systemic treatments were unsuccessful.
