This study introduces an intervention that enabled a man (LH) with acquired topographical disorientation (TD) to travel independently without fear of getting lost. Adapting an errorless method, LH learned to use a smartphone to find his routes accurately and reliably. A time-series design (A-B-A-B) was used: In all phases, LH was given a printed map on which city locations were indicated. He had to walk to the indicated locations while naturalistic outcomes were recorded. In Phases A, he navigated without his smartphone, and in Phases B, with it. In Phases A, LH made numerous surplus direction changes, and openly expressed his frustration. In Phases B, he did not have surplus direction changes and could calmly find his routes. Before intervention, LH and his wife were frustrated and worried about his way-finding. They rated their confidence in his navigational ability and his actual ability in way-finding to various locations as low. After intervention, they were more confident that LH could travel by himself without getting lost and rated his ability as much higher for various scenarios. As a consequence of intervention LH gained greater independence and quality of life.

The accurate detection and monitoring of supraglacial lakes in high mountainous regions are crucial for understanding their dynamic nature and implications for environmental management and sustainable development goals. In this study, we propose a novel approach that integrates multisource data and machine learning techniques for supra-glacial lake detection in the Passu Batura glacier of the Hunza Basin, Pakistan. We extract pertinent features or parameters by leveraging multisource datasets such as radar backscatter intensity VH and VV parameters from Sentinel-1 Ground Range Detected (GRD) data, near-infrared (NIR), NDWI_green, NDWI_blue parameters from Sentinel-2 Multi-spectral Instrument (MSI) data, and surface slope, aspect, and elevation parameters from topographic data.

Topographical disorientation is linked to lesions in the right hemisphere and typically resolves within a few months post-stroke. Persistent topographical disorientation is uncommon and frequently accompanied by impairments in visual memory, complicating the analysis of the underlying mechanisms. Background: Long-term enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) may improve prognosis in the patients with Fabry disease (FD), however, detail psychosocial burden has not been focused on long life expectancy. We experienced a male case of FD under ERT, he was placed on hemodialysis and presented rapidly progressive cognitive function.
Case Presentation: A 51-year-old male patient with FD has been receiving ERT from age of 38 years.
