An important part of anti-N-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptor encephalitis treatment is prompt detection and removal of any associated ovarian teratoma, regardless of size. High-resolution transvaginal ultrasonography followed by targeted CT with adaptive iterative dose reduction (AIDR) is a useful strategy for distinguishing small ovarian teratomas from luteal cysts during pregnancy.

Tryptophan (Trp) is an essential amino acid obtained from human diet. It is involved not only in de novo biosynthesis of proteins but also in complex metabolic pathways. Redox transformation of tryptophan is under-explored in comparison with kynurenine, serotonin and indole pyruvate pathways.

Methods: This retrospective matched case-control study included 54 male dogs that underwent open cystotomy for urolithiasis between January 2018 and July 2024. Intraoperative urethrocystoscopy was performed in 18 dogs (case group), while postoperative contrast urethrocystography was used in 36 dogs (control group).

In environmental management area, quality of water is a major growing concern with the emerging contaminants such as pesticides and pharmaceuticals likely to be present at low concentrations in water bodies, thereby potentially harming the ecosystem and human health. Diclofenac (DCF), a commonly used drug, has been found in wastewater, surface water, and drinking water sources, whose elimination can be a challenge issue. This study investigates the elimination of DCF by the photochemical method from aqueous media using short-wavelength radiation and hydrogen peroxide.

Background: Online research studies enable engagement with more Black cisgender women in health-related research. However, fraudulent data collection responses in online studies raise important concerns about data integrity, particularly when incentives are involved.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the strengths and limitations of fraud deterrence and detection procedures implemented in an incentivized, cross-sectional, online study about HIV prevention and sexual health with Black cisgender women living in Texas.
