Background: This video article describes the use of bone-anchored prostheses for patients with transtibial amputations, most often resulting from trauma, infection, or dysvascular disease. Large studies have shown that about half of all patients with a socket-suspended artificial limb experience limited mobility and limited prosthesis use because of socket-related problems. Background: Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) is a highly effective procedure for corneal endothelial dysfunction; however, once a DMEK graft is deployed, repositioning can be challenging. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a technique that utilizes infusion and small air bubbles to reposition a misaligned deployed graft.

Stable quantum droplets with high-order vorticity in zero-order Bessel lattice.

A theoretical framework is presented to investigate the stability of novel two-dimensional quantum droplets within zeroth-order Bessel lattices. The evolution of quantum droplets is studied by the Gross-Pitaevskii equations with Lee-Huang-Yang corrections. The circular groove structure inherent in the zeroth-order Bessel lattice potential facilitates the formation of distinct configurations, including stable zero-vorticity annular quantum droplets and annular quantum droplets featuring embedded vorticity.

Myocardial fibrosis leads to cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmias in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), but the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here, RNA sequencing identifies Forkhead Box1 (FoxO1) signaling as abnormal in male HFpEF hearts. Genetic suppression of FoxO1 alters the intercellular communication between cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts, alleviates abnormal diastolic relaxation, and reduces arrhythmias.
