Purpose: This literature review synthetizes current evidence on the timing and efficacy of dexamethasone intravitreal injections for diabetic macular edema (DME) in patients undergoing cataract surgery, particularly phacoemulsification, to determine the optimal timing for improved outcome.
Methods: A systematic review of the literature was conducted across key databases to identify peer-reviewed studies, clinical trials, and meta-analyses addressing dexamethasone injections administered pre-, intra-, and post-operatively for DME in the context of cataract surgery. Studies were selected based on relevance to timing, visual outcomes, and inflammation control, with a focus on comparative efficacy.
Purpose: To observe and explore the correlation between visual outcomes and intraocular lens (IOL) stability after tri-focal IOL implantation in eyes with high myopia.
Methods: Patients with highly myopic cataract (axial length > 26 mm) were enrolled in this prospective study. Thirty-one eyes (31 patients) received implantation of a trifocal IOL (AcrySof IQ PanOptix TFNT00).

Purpose: To apply a new method, the Taylor Diagram, and a new concept, the centered root mean square error (cRMSE), in evaluating the performance of IOL formulas.
Methods: The preoperative biometrics were measured with the IOLMaster 700 (Carl Zeiss Meditec) and the postoperative spherical equivalent refraction (SER) was calculated in 888 anonymous patients. The Taylor Diagram was applied to visualize the centered root mean square error (cRMSE) and the correlation coefficient between the predictions and the observations (R).

This research was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ab-interno trabeculectomy (Trabectome and Kahook Dual Blade) combined with phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation, and goniosynechialysis in eyes with primary angle-closure glaucoma. A total of 47 patients were included in the study and all the patients received the combined surgery. Intraocular pressure, anti-glaucoma medications, best-corrected visual acuity, and the number of peripheral anterior synechiae quadrants were recorded at baseline and at various time points after surgery.

Purpose: To evaluate the accuracy of toric intraocular lens (IOL) axis prediction between two preoperative measurement devices: the optical biometry (IOLMaster 500 or 700) and the dual Scheimpflug topography (Galilei G4).
Methods: Medical records of 64 eyes from 44 patients who underwent phacoemulsification and posterior chamber toric IOL (Zeiss AT TORBI 709M) implantation between July 2017 and January 2022 were reviewed. All patients underwent preoperative evaluation by optical biometry (IOLMaster 500 or IOLMaster 700) and Galilei G4.
