Introduction: Maternal mortality is a global issue, with developing countries accounting for over 99% of maternal deaths, with 30% of Ethiopian mothers dying from pregnancy-related causes. This study aimed to assess the magnitude, associated factors, and reasons for home delivery among women who gave birth after antenatal care follow-up in the last 6 months in Jabitehnan District, Northwest Ethiopia.
Methods: A mixed community-based study was conducted on women who gave birth after antenatal care follow-up in the last 6 months.

Objective: To describe postnatal outcome following the prenatal diagnosis of an abnormal fetal gallbladder.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review of studies from January 1980 to January 2023 that described FGB abnormalities, which included agenesis or non-visualisation, abnormal content presence of sludge, abnormal shape or size and abnormal position, and postnatal outcome to determine the association with pathology.
Results: In 51 studies, 842 fetuses had abnormal FGB.

Background: Early-onset fetal growth restriction as consequence of placental insufficiency frequently requires iatrogenic, preterm birth. Administration of antenatal corticosteroids reduces risks of neonatal morbidity and mortality following preterm birth and is most beneficial if the neonate is delivered within two weeks following treatment. International guidelines on fetal growth restriction pregnancies do not provide directives regarding the timing of antenatal corticosteroids, resulting in practice variation.

Brain development is a non-linear process of regionally specific epochs occurring during windows of sensitivity to endogenous and exogenous stimuli. We have identified an epoch in the neonatal rat brain defined by a transient population of peri-hippocampal mast cells (phMCs) that are abundant from birth through 2-weeks post-natal but absent thereafter. The phMCs are maintained by proliferation and harbor a unique transcriptome compared with mast cells residing in the skin, bone marrow, or other brain regions.

Background: Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD) is an X-linked recessive inherited disorder characterized by slowly progressing muscle weakness of the legs and pelvis, caused by mutations in the DMD gene, which encodes dystrophin protein. Different from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), in which dystrophin is completely absent in muscle tissue, while in BMD, the dystrophin gene can express some protein, but not enough. It has also been shown that a proportion of patients with DMD suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and the use of the stimulant methylphenidate has been suggested for the treatment of patients with DMD in combination with ADHD.
