Purpose: Although open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) is the gold standard treatment for displaced midshaft clavicle fractures, recent studies have advocated for nonoperative management, citing high rates of reoperation associated with operative intervention. However, no studies have compared nonoperative management to ORIF with dual-plate fixation, which may be associated with lower rates of reoperation compared to single-plate fixation. The purpose of this study was to compare the complications and patient-reported outcomes of dual mini-fragment plate fixation to nonoperative management for displaced midshaft clavicle fractures.

There has been a long search for cognitive assessments that reveal aptitudes thought to be useful for treatment planning. In this regard, since the 1990s, there has been some enthusiasm for the Cognitive Assessment System (CAS) and its potential promise for informing treatment due to its alignment of theory, assessment instrument, and suite of interventions. The purpose of this meta-analytic review was to synthesize research pertinent to the treatment utility of the CAS according to a taxonomy of treatment utility.

The photocatalytic direct conversion of carbon dioxide (CO) from flue gas into high-value products is regarded as one of the most promising approaches to achieving carbon neutrality. Nevertheless, this direct conversion process encounters significant challenges, primarily due to practical limitations such as low CO concentrations and the presence of interfering substances. Porous crystalline framework materials exhibit considerable potential in flue gas conversion, attributed to their robust CO capture capabilities, well-defined and tunable structures, high specific surface areas, and plentiful catalytic sites.

Purpose: To evaluate the current utilization trends of practicing surgeons performing and lateral extra-articular augmentation (LEA) at the time of primary anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR).
Methods: The survey was distributed via e-mail in August 2023 to members of the Arthroscopy Association of North America who identified as knee surgeons and was available online on the Arthroscopy Association of North America website from January to September 2023. The 18-question survey was designed regarding surgeons' surgical utilization patterns of LEA during ACLR.
