Organic materials generating pure white light emission have attracted considerable attention in recent times due to their potential applications in lighting and display devices. We have used anthracene carboxylic acid (AnA) and anthracene carbaldehyde (AnC) to generate white light using solvent induced selective self-assembly (SISSA). Mechanistically, SISSA prevents a fast intersystem crossing of the AnC monomer and generates an emissive state from the self-assembled AnC. While AnA emits in the blue region, the self-assembled AnC emits in the greenish yellow region with identical emission intensity. CIE coordinates (0.33, 0.33) of pure white light have been achieved by incorporating orange emitting rhodamine B. More importantly, the pure white light formation has been demonstrated at desired temperatures in both aqueous medium as well as in an agar-agar hydrogel.
Endoscopic examination plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of upper gastrointestinal (UGI) tract diseases. Despite advancements in endoscopic imaging, the detection of subtle early cancers and premalignant lesions using white-light imaging alone remains challenging. This review discusses two novel image-enhanced endoscopy (IEE) techniques-texture and color enhancement imaging (TXI) and red dichromatic imaging (RDI)-and their potential applications in UGI diseases.

Background: Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) is a perennial, bulbous flower whose stigma is one of the most valuable spices, herbal medicines, and dyes. Light is an essential environmental regulator of plant growth, development, and metabolism.
Objective: Our study aims to shed light on racial, ethnic, and geographic disparities in phase 2/3 Meniere's disease (MD) clinical trials, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the inclusivity and effectiveness of future MD research.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review of phase 2/3 MD Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs). Using the search terms "Meniere's Disease" and "Endolymphatic hydrops", we searched ClinicalTrials.
Background/aims: Visualization of palisade vessels (PVs) in Barrett's esophagus is crucial for proper assessment. This study aimed to determine whether red dichromatic imaging (RDI) improves PV visibility compared with white-light imaging (WLI) and narrow-band imaging (NBI).
Methods: Five expert and trainee endoscopists evaluated the PV visibility in Barrett's esophagus using WLI, NBI, and RDI on 66 images from 22 patients.

As a novel carbon-based material with two-dimensional (2D) characteristics, graphdiyne (GDY) shows great potential in constructing active catalytic sites due to its distinctive atomic configuration and sp/sp conjugated hybrid two-dimensional networks. In this study, the layered GDY was synthesized using the ball milling method, and ZnCdS/Graphdiyne/NiO (ZnCdS/GDY/NiO) composite was synthesized by in-situ composite and physical mixing method. The prepared ZnCdS/GDY/NiO has good photostability outstanding performance in photocatalytic hydrogen production.
