Unlabelled: The increasing prevalence of breast augmentation presents new challenges in breast imaging interpretation. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is recognized as the gold standard for the evaluation of augmented breasts. This article reviews the MRI features of different breast augmentation techniques, their associated complications, and the role of MRI in the assessment of concurrent breast abnormalities.

Teaching Points: • MRI has the highest sensitivity and specificity for implant rupture detection. • MRI is able to discriminate the nature of implanted prosthesis or injected materials. • Sensitivity of cancer detection by MRI is not reduced through implants.

Natural killer (NK) cells can control metastasis through cytotoxicity and IFN-γ production independently of T cells in experimental metastasis mouse models. The inverse correlation between NK activity and metastasis incidence supports a critical role for NK cells in human metastatic surveillance. However, autologous NK cell therapy has shown limited benefit in treating patients with metastatic solid tumors.

Purpose: The survival rate of breast cancer for women in low- and middle-income countries is poor compared with that in high-income countries. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) combined with deep learning could potentially be a suitable solution enabling early detection of breast cancer. We aim to improve a classification network dedicated to classifying POCUS images by comparing different techniques for increasing the amount of training data.

Doxorubicin (DOXO) is a primary treatment for breast cancer but can cause cardiotoxicity in over 25% of patients within the first year post-chemotherapy. Recognizing at-risk patients before DOXO initiation offers pathways for alternative treatments or early protective actions. We analyzed data from 78 Brazilian breast cancer patients, with 34.

Triple‑negative breast cancer (TNBC), a highly malignant breast cancer subtype with a pronounced metastatic propensity, forms the focus of the present investigation. MDA‑MB‑231, a prevalently utilized TNBC cell line in cancer research, was employed. In accordance with the tumour angiogenesis theory, cancer cells are capable of instigating angiogenesis and the formation of a novel vascular system within the tumour microenvironment, which subsequently sustains malignant proliferation and metastasis.

Background: Nitric oxide (NO) is a low-toxicity and high-efficiency anticancer treatment that can augment the cytotoxicity of doxorubicin (DOX) towards breast cancer cells, thereby exhibiting a favorable effect on chemotherapy sensitization.

Objective: The study aimed to establish a hydrogel that sensitizes chemotherapy by inducing local inflammatory stimulation to change the tumor microenvironment and promote NO production. The purpose of the study was to examine the anti-tumor effect in vivo and in vitro.
