Nonlinear optics plays important roles in the research of fundamental physics and the applications of high-performance optoelectronic devices. The bulk nonlinear optical responses arise from the uniform light absorption in noncentrosymmetric crystals, and hence are usually considered to be the collective phenomena of all atoms. Here we show, in contrast to this common expectation, the nonlinear optical responses in antiferromagnets can be selectively accumulated near the surfaces, representing a skin effect.

In the past 100 years, thanks to the discovery and development of antimicrobial therapies, human and veterinary medicine have made a leap forward in treating infectious diseases. However, resistance mechanisms quickly appeared and spread in all sectors - human, animal and environmental - throughout the world, thus jeopardising the progress made. Awareness has been raised only gradually but is now prominent at the global level, due in large part to the action of international organisations such as the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and antimicrobials are considered a global public health good to be preserved.

Introduction: The seasonality of human births has been studied globally for over two centuries, revealing diverse patterns across populations shaped by intricate interactions involving both biological and socio-cultural factors. This study offers a thorough examination of national birth data in Greece spanning from 1956 to 2022, aiming to elucidate long-term trends and changes in seasonal birth patterns.
Materials And Methods: Data on live births in Greece were categorized by month based on national registries, and the analysis of birth seasonality was conducted annually.
Introduction: Dynamic modulation of grip occurs mainly within the major structures of the brain stem, in parallel with cortical control. This basic, but fundamental level of the brain, is robust to ill-formed feedback and to be useful, it may not require all the perceptual information of feedback we are consciously aware. This makes it viable candidate for using peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS), a form of tactile feedback that conveys intensity and location information of touch well but does not currently reproduce other qualities of natural touch.

Cryptococcosis is an invasive fungal infection caused by yeasts of the genus Cryptococcus that causes a significant global burden of disease in both immunocompromised and immunocompetent individuals. Over the past several decades, diagnosis and management of cryptococcal disease have moved to focus on rapid, reliable, and cost-effective care delivery, with the advent of new antigen detection assays and novel antifungal treatment strategies.
