Angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) and its receptor Tie-2 promote vascular integrity and angiogenesis. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in the regulation of many cellular functions, including endothelial cell (EC) survival, proliferation, and differentiation.
