Hybrid organizations in modern health movements adopt multiple organizational logistics, allowing them to more effectively achieve social change. We conducted an analysis of 152 probreastfeeding organization websites categorized as institutionalized organizations, grassroots organizations, or hybrid organizations. Through a series of ANOVA analyses, we found that hybrid's websites provide significantly more useful health care information, better maintained dialogue with members, more efficiently mobilized members, commoditized health care issues less, and created member identity while maintaining institutional ties. Ultimately, hybrids tended to incorporate the positive elements from both grassroots and institutional organizations, while rejecting many of the negative elements.

Metal tellurides, known for their superior electrical conductivity and excellent electrochemical properties, are promising candidates for supercapacitor applications. This study introduces a novel method involving a metal-organic framework hybrid to synthesize CoTe@CoFeTe double-shelled nanocubes. Initially, zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF67) and CoFe Prussian blue analog (PBA) nanocubes are synthesized through an anion-exchange reaction with [Fe(CN)] ions.

Background: While healthy dietary and lifestyle factors have been individually linked to lower colorectal cancer (CRC) risks, recommendations for whole diet-lifestyle patterns remained unestablished due to limited studies and inconsistent pattern definitions.

Objective: This updated review synthesized literature on dietary-lifestyle patterns and CRC risk/mortality.

Methods: PubMed and Embase were searched through 31 March 2023 for randomized controlled trials and prospective cohort studies examining adulthood dietary patterns combined with modifiable lifestyle factors such as adiposity, smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity, and/or others.

Emergence of fungal hybrids - potential threat to humans.

Fungal hybrids arise through the interbreeding of distinct species. This hybridization process fosters increased genetic diversity and the emergence of new traits. Mechanisms driving hybridization include the loss of heterozygosity, copy number variations, and horizontal gene transfer.

Background: Premenopausal risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO) in women at high familial risk of ovarian cancer leads to immediate menopause. Although early natural menopause is associated with increased cardiovascular disease risk, evidence on long-term cardiovascular disease risk after early surgical menopause is scarce.

Objectives: We sought to determine the long-term influence of the timing of RRSO on the development of coronary artery calcium (CAC), an established marker for cardiovascular disease risk.

Programmable organization of uniform organic/inorganic functional building blocks into large-scale ordered superlattices has attracted considerable attention since the bottom-up self-organization strategy opens up a robust and universal route for designing novel and multifunctional materials with advanced applications in memory storage devices, catalysis, photonic crystals, and biotherapy. Despite making great efforts in the construction of superlattice materials, there still remains a challenge in the preparation of organic/inorganic hybrid superlattices with tunable dimensions and exotic configurations. Here, we report the spontaneous self-organization of polystyrene-tethered gold nanoparticles (AuNPs@PS) into freestanding organic/inorganic hybrid superlattices templated at the diethylene glycol-air interface.
