Purpose: To describe the experiences of parents who used powered mobility in children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, SMA type I,at an early age in the natural context like a family-centered program, using inductive qualitative content analysis.
Materials And Methods: This qualitative study was embedded within a single-blinded randomized waiting list controlled clinical trial, which involved 16 children with SMA type I. This study specifically explores the experiences of the 9 parents whose children participated in the intervention group and completed the training.

There is a growing recognition of the importance of familial involvement in patient care. In Asian societies, communications with patients' families for routine medical updates and shared decision-making are considered part-and-parcel of clinical practice. Yet, training in familial communications has remained, by and far, a neglected aspect of conventional communications skills training in the medical curriculum, despite distinctive nuances in the communications approach.

Background: Digital therapeutic tools seem to be helpful for substance use disorders (SUD), but there are few studies in Latin America about this approach. Our group of therapists developed VloV (an abbreviation for Pavlovsky), a mobile app that attempts to digitize practical tools along with strengthening the therapeutic alliance and user practice.
Method: We conducted a mixed-method pilot study between August 2021 and January 2022 to collect data about the patient experience using VloV and the therapeutic alliance among 23 patients.
