Background Sigma metrics, a cornerstone of quality control (QC) in manufacturing, have been increasingly adopted in analytical processes. In clinical biochemistry labs, Sigma analysis provides insights into the level of QC achieved and identifies deviations from perfection. Methods A prospective-retrospective observational study was conducted at the Central Diagnostic Laboratory of Shree Krishna Hospital between August 2021 and July 2022.

Danggui Liuhuang Decoction (DGLHD), a traditional Chinese herbal medicine formula, has shown potential benefits for patients with hyperthyroidism in recent studies. Objective: Evaluation of structural features and metabolic/biochemical abnormalities of the bone tissue and relevant regulation patterns in children, residing in the radiologically contaminated territories (RCT).
Materials And Methods: Children (n = 148) aged 7 to 18 years old were involved in the study. Bone mineral density (BMD) is given in 3 grades according to the mean square deviation values, namely Grade I - standard (n = 75),Grade II - reduced (n = 45) and Grade III - very low one (n = 28).

Purpose: Iodine nutrition during pregnancy plays an important role in fetal development and maternal outcomes. Iodine deficiency has been proved to be associated with maternal thyroid dysfunction, adverse fetal outcomes and neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring. At present, there are few studies concentrate on the effects of iodine excess during pregnancy on thyroid function, maternal and neonatal outcomes, and the results are still controversial.
