The lives of the illustrious monozygotic (MZ) twins, Victor A. and Vincent L. McKusick, are described. Victor earned the distinction as the 'Father of Medical Genetics', while Vincent was a legendary Chief Justice of the Maine Supreme Court. This dual biographical account is followed by two timely reports of twinning rates, a study of MZ twin discordance for Russell-Silver Syndrome (RSS) and a study of twins' language skills. Twin stories in the news include babies born to identical twin couples, a case of switched identity, the death of Princess Ashraf (Twin) and a new mother of twins who is also Yahoo's CEO.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of twin dating by ultrasound-measured crown-rump length (CRL) of the larger (CRL-L), smaller (CRL-S) or mean twin measurement (CRL-M) on the rates of preterm birth (PTB) and detection of small for gestational age (SGA) births.
Design: A retrospective cohort study.
Setting: A tertiary fetal medicine centre (London, UK).

In this paper, in order to investigate the harmonious relationship between the compression deformation behavior of metastable β titanium alloy and the microstructure evolution, the β solution-treated Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al (Ti-1023) alloy was compressed at room temperature and its deformation behavior was analyzed. Optical microscopy (OM) and field emission electron microscopy (FESEM) were used to study the microstructure evolution of alloys at different strain rates. The results show that the stress-induced martensite transformation (SIMT) is more easily activated by low strain rate compression deformation, which is conducive to improving its comprehensive mechanical properties.

Digital twin technology, initially developed for engineering and manufacturing, has entered healthcare. In plastic surgery, digital twins (DTs) have the potential to enhance surgical precision, personalise treatment plans, and improve patient outcomes. This systematic review aims to explore the current use of DTs in plastic surgery and evaluate their effectiveness, challenges, and future potential.

Background: Current outcomes from catheter ablation for scar-dependent ventricular tachycardia (VT) are limited by high recurrence rates and long procedure durations. Personalized heart digital twin technology presents a noninvasive method of predicting critical substrate in VT, and its integration into clinical VT ablation offers a promising solution. The accuracy of the predictions of digital twins to detect invasive substrate abnormalities is unknown.
