Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics Almaty Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education; 4. Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute, Russia Resume: in this report we present the results on the use of the method of layer-by-layer (LbL) for obtaining antimicrobial coatings for biomedical implants. As the substrates were used silicon titanium implants and silicon plate. For the obtaining multilayer coatings on the surfaces of the samples were used as the polycation--chitosan and polyanion--carboxymethylcellulose sodium. On the surface multilayer were deposited antibacterial preparations: Triclosan-2,4,4'trichloro-2' hydroxyphenyl ether, silver ions and iodine. Microbiological studies were conducted on the museum strains: E. coli, Candida and Staf. Preliminary antibacterial studies on these microorganisms showed high activity multilayer coating containing triclosan.

Hierarchical structures are essential in natural adhesion systems. Replicating these in synthetic adhesives is challenging due to intricate molecular mechanisms and multiscale processes. Here, we report three phosphorylated peptides featuring a hydrophobic self-assembly motif linked to a hydrophilic phosphorylated sequence (pSGSS), forming peptide fibril nanoframeworks.

Pneumonia is a prevalent acute respiratory infection and a major cause of mortality and hospitalization, and the urgent demand for a rapid, direct, and highly accurate diagnostic method capable of detecting both () and () arises from their prominent roles as the primary pathogens responsible for pneumonia. Herein, two luminescent iridium complexes with nonoverlapping photoluminescence spectra, iridium(III)-bis [4,6-(difluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C'] picolinate (abbreviated as Ir-B) and bis (2-(3,5- dimethylphenyl) quinoline-C2,N') (acetylacetonato) iridium(III)) (abbreviated as Ir-R), were unprecedently proposed to construct a novel wavelength-resolved magnetic multiplex biosensor for simultaneous detection of and based on catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) signal amplification strategy combined with dye-doped silica nanoparticles. Notably, the proposed wavelength-resolved multiplex biosensor not only exhibits a broad linear range from 50 pM to 10 nM but also demonstrates excellent recovery rates for (96.

Background: Many medical organisations recommend continuing with existing mammography screening programmes but some recommend stopping or de-intensifying them. In Denmark women aged 50-69 are offered biennial mammograms free-of-charge.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine whether or not an informed public would recommend continuation of the Danish mammography screening programme, and to determine whether this recommendation was in line with what participants considered to be acceptable levels of mortality reduction and overdiagnosis.

Pesticide application is essential for stabilizing agricultural production. However, the effects of increasing pesticide diversity on soil microbial functions remain unclear, particularly under varying nitrogen (N) fertilizer management practices. In this study, we investigated the stochasticity of soil microbes and multitrophic networks through amplicon sequencing, assessed soil community functions related to carbon (C), N, phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S) cycling, and characterized the dominant bacterial life history strategies via metagenomics along a gradient of increasing pesticide diversity under two N addition levels.

Motivation: Recent advancements in parallel sequencing methods have precipitated a surge in publicly available short-read sequence data. This has encouraged the development of novel computational tools for the de novo assembly of transcriptomes from RNA-seq data. Despite the availability of these tools, performing an end-to-end transcriptome assembly remains a programmatically involved task necessitating familiarity with best practices.
