we evaluated regression models based on quantitative ultrasound (QUS) parameters and compared them with a vendor-provided method for calculating the ultrasound fat fraction (USFF) in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). We measured the attenuation coefficient (AC) and the backscatter-distribution coefficient (BSC-D) and determined the USFF during a liver ultrasound and calculated the magnetic resonance imaging proton-density fat fraction (MRI-PDFF) and steatosis grade (S0-S4) in a combined retrospective-prospective cohort. We trained multiple models using single or various QUS parameters as independent variables to forecast MRI-PDFF.

. Position-sensitive silicon photomultipliers (PS-SiPMs) are promising photodetectors for ultra-high spatial resolution small-animal positron emission tomography (PET) scanners. This paper evaluated the performance of the latest generation of linearly-graded SiPMs (LG-SiPMs), a type of PS-SiPM, for ultra-high spatial resolution PET applications using LYSO arrays from two vendors.

This study investigated the availability, price, nutritional composition, and quality of plant-based meat alternatives (PBMAs) in supermarkets and hypermarkets in Petaling, the most populated district in Malaysia. The survey covered 85 stores through on-site visits, identifying 251 unique PBMA products from 42 brands. The PBMAs were categorized into nine groups: Burgers/Patties, Coated Meat, Luncheon Meat, Minced Meat, Pastries, Pieces/Chunks/Fillets/Strips, Prepacked Cooked Meals, Sausages, and Seafood Balls/Cakes/Meatballs.

The current scientific evidence suggests that surgical navigation (SN) can contribute to improve oncologic outcomes in sinonasal and craniofacial surgery. The present study investigated the feasibility of intraoperative SN and its role in improving the outcomes of surgically treated sinonasal and craniofacial tumors. This prospective study compared navigation-guided surgery for sinonasal or craniofacial malignancies with a pair-matched cohort (1:2 matching) of patients operated without SN.

Background: Poor dietary habits are major contributors to malnutrition globally, particularly in children living in African countries. The widespread transition from African diet of healthy indigenous foods to a nutrient-poor Western-style diet is well-documented in global societal culture.
Aim: This study aimed to assess the dietary habits and their nutritional implications among learners in public primary schools.
