MicroRNA regulation of developmental and cellular processes is a relatively new field of study, and the available research data have not been organized to enable its inclusion in pathway and network analysis tools. The association of gene products with terms from the Gene Ontology is an effective method to analyze functional data, but until recently there has been no substantial effort dedicated to applying Gene Ontology terms to microRNAs. Consequently, when performing functional analysis of microRNA data sets, researchers have had to rely instead on the functional annotations associated with the genes encoding microRNA targets. In consultation with experts in the field of microRNA research, we have created comprehensive recommendations for the Gene Ontology curation of microRNAs. This curation manual will enable provision of a high-quality, reliable set of functional annotations for the advancement of microRNA research. Here we describe the key aspects of the work, including development of the Gene Ontology to represent this data, standards for describing the data, and guidelines to support curators making these annotations. The full microRNA curation guidelines are available on the GO Consortium wiki (http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/MicroRNA_GO_annotation_manual).

Objective: To examine the role and diagnostic potential of miR-421 in prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: Expression data and clinical information for miR-421 were obtained from the TCGA and Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) databases. Experimental validation was performed at the cellular, blood, and tissue levels to confirm miR-421 expression and its association with clinicopathological features.

Introduction Surgical resection remains a standard treatment of non-functioning pituitary adenomas (NFPA). These tumors have significant intratumoral variability of growth rates and texture hardness. This preliminary study aims to identify variations in gene expression of different locations and textures within the same tumor to better explain tumor pathophysiology.

Objectives: This study aims to assess the potential mechanism of rutin to treat triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) based on network pharmacology followed by experiments.
Methods: The potential rutin targets were predicted, and the DisGeNET database was used to obtain the disease targets. The intersection targets were identified with Venny 2.

Purpose: In this study, we aimed to study the role of extracellular proteins as biomarkers associated with newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetes (NT1D) diagnosis and prognosis.
Patients And Methods: We retrieved and analyzed the GSE55098 microarray dataset from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Using R software, we screened out the extracellular protein-differentially expressed genes (EP-DEGs) through several protein-related databases.

Immune infiltration plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Cuproptosis, a newly characterized form of programmed cell death, remains insufficiently investigated regarding its genetic regulation of immune infiltration in RA. Data from the GEO database were analyzed to determine the relationship between cuproptosis-related genes and immune infiltration.
