Objectives: Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive neurostimulation technique that uses magnetic field to comprehensively influence events in the brain. Its use in patients after stroke focuses mainly on influencing brain neuroplasticity and therefore has the potential to improve motor functions in these patients. This study investigates the effect of rTMS on motor function recovery in patients in the acute stage of ischemic stroke.

Cytosine (DNA) methylation plays important roles in silencing transposable elements, plant development, genomic imprinting, stress responses, and maintenance of genome stability. To better understand the functions of this epigenetic modification, several tools have been developed to manipulate DNA methylation levels. These include mutants of DNA methylation writers and readers, targeted manipulation of locus-specific methylation, and the use of chemical inhibitors.

Tic disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that occurs in children or adolescents, often attracting the attention of others due to involuntary, repetitive, and non-rhythmic tics, and drug therapy often causes negative emotions in children and their families due to its significant adverse reactions, poor compliance, and tendency of recurrence after drug withdrawal. In recent years, comprehensive behavioral intervention has shown great potential as a safe and effective treatment modality for tic disorders, with few adverse reactions. This article reviews the advances in the application of comprehensive behavioral intervention for tic disorder in China and abroad in the past 5 years, in order to provide a reference for clinical application.

In recent years, third-generation sequencing (TGS) technologies have transformed genomics and transcriptomics research, providing novel opportunities for significant discoveries. The long-read sequencing platforms, with their unique advantages over next-generation sequencing (NGS), including a definitive protocol, reduced operational time, and real-time sequencing, possess the potential to transform plant genomics. TGS optimizes and enhances the efficiency of data analysis by removing the necessity for time-consuming assembly tools.
