Background: Management of the extensive soft tissue injuries remains a significant challenge in orthopedic and plastic reconstructive surgery. Since the thumb is responsible for 40% of the functions of the hand, saving and reconstructing a mangled thumb is essential for the patient's future.
Case Presentation: This case report describes the management of a severe occupational thumb injury in a 25-year-old white Persian male who sustained an occupational injury to his left thumb, resulting in extensive burn, crush injury to the distal and proximal phalanx, and severe soft tissue damage to the first metacarpal, thenar, and palmar areas.

This article presents particular occupational burn injuries resulting in a complex defect of the digits. Nine patients with exposed bone or tendon wounds on the digits were successfully treated using the pedicle adipofascial turnover flap overlaid with skin grafts. Electrical and high-temperature contact burns resulted in five and four severe cases, respectively.

Aim: Dorsal metatarsal artery perforator flap (DMTAPF) reconstructions were reviewed to assess indications for application, variation of surgical technique and the long-term impact of growth.
Method: A cohort of 15 children presented with 17 DMTAPFs on 16 feet. Patient demographics, the aetiology and timing of primary injury and details of flap reconstruction were recorded.

Background: The adipofascial anterolateral thigh (AF-ALT) free flap represents a versatile technique in head and neck reconstructions, with its applications increasingly broadening. The objective was to detail the novel utilization of the AF-ALT flap in orbital and skull base reconstruction, along with salvage laryngectomy onlay in our case series.
Method: We conducted a retrospective analysis at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, spanning from July 2019 to June 2023, focusing on patient demographics and reconstructive parameters data.
