The SECONDI MAPZ(©) system is a new, simple, and logical classification of oncological defects of the midface that combines regional anatomy, 3-dimensional visualisation, and the hierarchy of functional priorities. In this paper, we provide clinical and radiographic examples of defects of varying complexity to illustrate the application of the system, to highlight its versatility, and to give practical clinical and radiological guidance on its use. We hope that its introduction will result in better communication of information, and the collection of more uniform data with which to compare outcomes, and ultimately will facilitate evidence-based practice in head and neck oncology.

Background: The long-term recurrence risk after a pregnancy-associated venous thromboembolism (VTE) is sparsely assessed.
Objectives: To determine the rate of recurrence after a pregnancy-associated VTE and identify associated risk factors.
Methods: Five hundred eighty-seven women with a history of first VTE occurring during pregnancy or up to 3 months after delivery were referred to La Timone Hospital, Marseille, France.

Hydrogen gas will be an essential energy carrier for global energy systems in the future. However, non-renewable sources account for 96% of the production. Food wastes have high hydrogen generation potential, which can positively influence global production and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Unlabelled: ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVES: Aim of this clinical study was to evaluate the effects on gingival thickness of three surgical techniques for root coverage: the coronally advanced flap (CAF) alone, with a sub-epithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG) or with leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF) membranes.
Methods: Sixty patients with RT1 single maxillary gingival recession were treated with CAF + L-PRF (20 patients), CAF + SCTG (20 patients) or CAF alone (20 patients). At baseline and 6-month after treatment, gingival thickness (GT), keratinized tissue width (KT), gingival recession (GR), clinical attachment level (CAL), probing depth (PD), PROMs, and the aesthetic outcome were recorded.

The worldwide expansion of artificial light at night (ALAN) is acknowledged as a threat to biodiversity through alterations of the natural photoperiod triggering the disruption of physiological functions. In vertebrates, melatonin production during the dark phase can be decreased or suppressed by nocturnal light as shown in many taxa. But the effect of ALAN at low intensity mimicking light pollution in peri-urban area has never been investigated in amphibians.
