Endodontic intervention in necrotic immature permanent teeth is usually a clinical challenge. With appropriate case selection, regenerative treatment can be effective, providing a desirable outcome. However, there is still no consensus on the optimal disinfection protocol or the method to achieve predictable clinical outcome. This article presents two cases of regenerative treatment in necrotic immature teeth, using mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Biodentine(TM) as coronal barriers and different irrigants, which led to different clinical outcomes.

Objective: Many cancer survivors may experience irreversible infertility due to chemotherapy treatment for childhood cancer. In this study, spermatogenesis development was evaluated following the grafting of fresh and frozen-thawed testicular tissue from neonatal mice to the epididymal fat of adult mice.

Methods: After bilateral castration of recipient mice, fresh or frozen-thawed neonatal testis tissues were grafted into the epididymal fat of the mice.

Modulation of Lymphotoxin β Surface Expression by Kaposi's Sarcoma-Associated Herpesvirus K3 Through Glycosylation Interference.

Department of Infection Biology, Global Center for Pathogen and Human Health Research, Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) employs diverse mechanisms to subvert host immune responses, contributing to its infection and pathogenicity. As an immune evasion strategy, KSHV encodes the Membrane-Associated RING-CH (MARCH)-family E3 ligases, K3, and K5, which target and remove several immune regulators from the cell surface. In this study, we investigate the impact of K3 and K5 on lymphotoxin receptor (LTβR) ligands, LTβ and LIGHT, which are type II transmembrane proteins and function as pivotal immune mediators during virus infection.

Sepsis is a systemic infection that significantly causes morbidity and mortality among neonates, which is associated with immature immune response. Variations in the tumor necrosis factor-alpha gene () -308G/A may be linked to neonatal sepsis mortality by modulating interleukins (ILs) involved in the immune response cascade, such as IL-6. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between -308G/A gene variation and IL-6 level with mortality of neonatal sepsis.

Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a chronic lung disease, with its own clinical, radiological and histopathological characteristics, which mainly affects premature newborns, resulting from a combination of factors that include immaturity, inflammation and lung injury, in addition to therapy with mechanical ventilation and exposure to high concentrations of oxygen. However, even with advances in care for critically ill newborns, BPD continues to be a challenge for the care team and family members. This has been identified as one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality due to prematurity, and can have significant impacts on the quality of life of the affected patients.

Background: This series investigates the efficacy of regenerative endodontic therapy (RET) using various platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) formulations in treating apical periodontitis and necrotic pulp in immature permanent teeth.

Aim: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different PRF formulations in RET.

Materials And Methods: Three cases involving patients aged 15-16 with immature teeth and necrotic pulp were treated with RET using PRF, injectable PRF, and advanced PRF.
