The 2D g-C3N4 nanosheets were ultra-rapidly prepared via a direct microwave heating approach. The as-synthesized g-C3N4 possessed a large surface area, few stacking layers, a large aspect ratio and an enlarged bandgap. As a consequence, the excellent field emission properties of 2D g-C3N4 nanosheets were exhibited with extremely low turn-on fields.

Recent years have witnessed a tremendous popularity growth of optimization methods in high-frequency electronics, including microwave design. With the increasing complexity of passive microwave components, meticulous tuning of their geometry parameters has become imperative to fulfill demands imposed by the diverse application areas. More and more often, achieving the best possible performance requires global optimization.

However, its high cost and difficulty in recycling limit the purification of heavy metals in water. The anisotropic [2,4]-dibenzo-18-crown-6-modified bamboo pulp aerogel (DB18C6/PA) is successfully synthesized by microwave irradiation and directional freezing technology.

This study demonstrates quick access to heteroatom-embodied complex fused polycyclic frameworks through a palladium-catalyzed domino process facilitated by microwave-assisted crossover annulation of -alkynylarylhalides and dihydrobenzofurans derivatives. The overall success of this process lies in the careful design of dihydrobenzofuran precursors that direct the initial palladium-mediated annulation step to proceed in a highly regioselective manner to furnish a single regioisomeric product. Notably, this one-pot method has witnessed good substrate scope and has furnished products with excellent yields.

In this Letter, we designed a kind of single-layer metasurfaces with delicately designed hybrid magnetic meta-atoms (HMMAs), which can be operated as perfect absorbers (PAs) for the electromagnetic wave incident at a specified direction, but at the mirror symmetric direction, the nearly total reflection is achieved. This remarkable nonreciprocal phenomenon arises from the time-reversal symmetry (TRS) breaking nature of magnetic surface plasmon as well as the lattice Kerker effect due to the interaction of HMMAs in the single-layer metasurfaces.

This study compares the material characteristics and evaluates the Cr(VI) adsorption capacity of biochar derived from a novel byproduct (young durian fruit, YDF), synthesized using two pyrolysis methods (traditional and microwave-assisted). The optimal pyrolysis conditions for porosity were 800 °C and 800 W for 30 min, respectively. The traditional pyrolysis method yielded a very high surface area and pore volume (668 m/g; 0.
