We studied the effect of academic studies with the use a notebook computer and interactive whiteboard on the functional state of an organism of schoolchildren. Using a complex of hygienic and physiological methods of the study we established that regulation of the computer activity of students must take into account not only duration but its intensity either. Design features of a notebook computer were shown both to impede keeping the optimal working posture in primary school children and increase the risk offormation of disorders of vision and musculoskeletal system. There were established the activating influence of the interactive whiteboard on performance activities and favorable dynamics of indices of the functional state of the organism of students under keeping optimal density of the academic study and the duration of its use. There are determined safety regulations of the work of schoolchildren with electronic resources in the educational process.

Motivation: Recent experimental developments enable single-cell multimodal epigenomic profiling, which measures multiple histone modifications and chromatin accessibility within the same cell. Such parallel measurements provide exciting new opportunities to investigate how epigenomic modalities vary together across cell types and states. A pivotal step in using this type of data is integrating the epigenomic modalities to learn a unified representation of each cell, but existing approaches are not designed to model the unique nature of this data type.

This study addresses the critical challenge of assessing the quality of groundwater and surface water, which are essential resources for various societal needs. The main contribution of this study is the application of machine learning models for evaluating water quality, using a national database from Mexico that includes groundwater, lotic (flowing), lentic (stagnant), and coastal water quality parameters. Notably, no comparable water quality classification system currently exists.

Antibiotic resistance is a global public health concern. Bacteria have evolved resistance to most antibiotics, which means that for any given bacterial infection, the bacteria may be resistant to one or several antibiotics. It has been suggested that genomic sequencing and machine learning (ML) could make resistance testing more accurate and cost-effective.

Background: Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES), Temporal Interference Stimulation (TIS), Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) are based on the application of electric current patterns to the brain.
Objective: The optimal electrode positions, shapes and alignments for generating a desired current pattern in the brain vary between persons due to anatomical variability. The aim is to develop a flexible and efficient computational approach to determine individually optimal montages based on electric field simulations.

The recent development of genetic lineage recorders, designed to register the genealogical history of cells using induced somatic mutations, has opened the possibility of reconstructing complete animal cell lineages. To reconstruct a cell lineage tree from a molecular recorder, it is crucial to use an appropriate reconstruction algorithm. Current approaches include algorithms specifically designed for cell lineage reconstruction and the repurposing of phylogenetic algorithms.
