This review of the literature presents the results of analysis of the publications concerning the prospects of the investigations of ptomaines including their influence on the results of determination of toxic substances present in the putrescent cadaveric tissues and on the persistence of analytes in the biological materials. Special emphasis is laid on the peculiarities of investigation of ptomaines and the necessity of the further development of the methods for the detection, isolation, and identification of toxicants in the putrescent and exhumed biological objects bearing in mind that such studies are not infrequently provide the sole opportunity to prove intoxication with certain substances.

While PTSD continues to be researched in great depth, less attention has been given to the continuum of traumatic responses that resides outside this diagnosis. This investigation begins with a literature review examining the spectrum of responses through the lens of the default mode network (DMN). To build upon this literature, a systematic exploratory study was incorporated, examining DMN-related neuropsychological functioning of 27 participants (16 trauma-exposed, and 11 non-trauma-exposed), with a subset (15 participants) completing neuroimaging.

Reproductive system diseases have become a major health challenge facing humans, so extensive investigations are needed to understand their complex pathogenesis and summarize effective treatments. In the study of reproductive diseases, mice are the most commonly used animal model. However, the cost and time required to establish mouse animal models are high.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy stands as an innovative neurostimulation modality that has demonstrated both efficacy and safety in improving brain function. This therapy exerts multifaceted influences on neurons, blood vessels, and their intricate interplay known as neurovascular coupling (NVC). Growing evidence indicates that NVC may present a promising target for PBM intervention.

Bacterial outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) have emerged as promising vehicles for anticancer drug delivery due to their inherent tumor tropism, immune-stimulatory properties, and potential for functionalization with therapeutic proteins. Despite their advantages, the high lipopolysaccharide (LPS) endotoxin content in the OMVs raises significant safety and regulatory challenges. In this work, we produce LPS-attenuated and LPS-free OMVs and systematically assess the effects of LPS modification on OMVs' physicochemical characteristics, membrane protein content, immune-stimulatory capacity, tolerability, and anticancer efficacy.

Purple tea ( var. ) is a distinct variety of known for its bioactive compounds, including caffeine, catechins, and a unique compound called 1,2-di-Galloyl-4,6-Hexahydroxydiphenoyl-β-D-Glucose, (GHG) found predominantly in purple tea leaves, which shows potential in obesity management. Studies have indicated that these bioactive compounds play a significant role in reducing BMI and body weight among obese patients.
