Objectives: To describe detailed surgical techniques for totally stapled intracorporeal anastomosis (TSIA) and determine their feasibility and safety by comparing short-term outcomes with those of conventional totally stapled extracorporeal anastomosis (TSEA).
Methods: In total, 59 consecutive patients who underwent laparoscopic colectomy between June 2018 and August 2021 were retrospectively assessed. Linear staplers were used for all anastomoses.

The clinical outcomes of laparoscopic-assisted ovariohysterectomy for the treatment of hydrometra or pyometra in small-sized dogs have not been reported. This study aimed to retrospectively investigate the clinical outcomes of two-port laparoscopic-assisted ovariohysterectomy in small-sized dogs weighing < 6 kg with mild to moderate hydrometra or pyometra. Laparoscopic ports were placed at the umbilicus on the midline, as well as at the midpoint between the umbilicus and pelvic brim.

Background: Laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy (LADG) with Billroth I (B-I) reconstruction is frequently performed for gastric cancer. However, the difference between the circular stapler technique (CS) and delta-shaped anastomosis (DA) remains unclear, especially regarding the postoperative endoscopic physiological findings.
Methods: Three hundred and one patients including 150 CS patients and 151 DA patients during LADG with B-I reconstruction between 2013 and 2019 at Saitama Medical University International Medical Center were chosen as study subjects.

This study evaluates the performance and safety of a new endoscopic stapler (EnDrive® Beluga) regarding perioperative results across multiple bariatric surgery types. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 112 patients who underwent bariatric procedures using the Beluga stapler at two centers in the United Arab Emirates and Kenya over a 6-month period (June-December 2023).
