We describe a case of novel use of trametinib in treating arrythmia without concomitant cardiomyopathy. Our patient is a two-year-old female born with Costello syndrome due to heterozygous mutations in the HRAS gene c34 G > T p (G12C). Shortly after birth, she was diagnosed with multifocal atrial tachyarrhythmia.

BACKGROUND Human metapneumovirus (hMPV), classified in the Pneumoviridae family, is primarily known for causing lower respiratory tract infections in children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals. However, rare instances have shown that hMPV can also affect other systems, such as the cardiovascular system, leading to conditions like myocarditis. CASE REPORT We describe a 68-year-old man with a medical history of diabetes, hypertension, and liver cirrhosis who presented to the Emergency Department (ED) exhibiting symptoms of fever, cough, and dyspnea.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors have improved the clinical outcomes of several cancers but have also been associated with a greater risk of immune-related adverse effects, especially when combined. The objective of this study was to investigate the incidence of myocarditis in relation to the use of dual concurrent versus single immune checkpoint inhibitors therapies.
Methods And Results: A cohort study was conducted using medical and pharmacy claims data (2011-2022) from a large US commercial insurer.

Objective: To establish lactate and glucose differences between affected and non-affected limbs in cats with feline arterial thromboembolism (FATE). To evaluate the correlation between these values and survival to discharge as well as congestive heart failure (CHF).
Methods: Blood glucose and lactate concentrations were prospectively obtained on admission from client-owned FATE cats and client-owned cats presented for other conditions.

Background: Myocardial fibrosis of the left ventricle (LV) has been associated with atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias in individuals with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). However, few studies have quantitatively examined the segmental relationship between diffuse LV fibrosis and atrial arrhythmias in HCM using T1 mapping and extracellular volume fraction (ECV). The aim of this study is to explore this relationship through T1 mapping, offering imaging insights into the pathophysiology of HCM with atrial arrhythmia.
