Introduction: The role of concurrent pyloroplasty with esophagectomy is unclear. Available literature on the impact of pyloroplasty during esophagectomy on complications and weight loss is varied. Data on the need for further pyloric intervention are scarce.

Neurocritically ill patients frequently exhibit coma, gastroparesis, and intense catabolism, leading to an increased risk of malnutrition. The Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM) criteria for the diagnosis of malnutrition was created to achieve a consistent malnutrition diagnosis across diverse populations. This study aimed to validate the concurrent and predictive validity of GLIM criteria in patients with neurocritical illnesses.

Background: Absent "organic" disease, dyspeptic symptoms may arise from abnormal gastric sensation, accommodation, motility or emptying (GE). Extensive gastric sensorimotor evaluation is rarely undertaken because testing is prolonged, invasive, poorly tolerated or unavailable.

Aims: To investigate whether gastric antral motor function, evaluated with scintigraphy, predicts GE.

Introduction: The Gastric Alimetry platform offers a multimodal assessment of gastric function through body surface gastric mapping (BSGM) and concurrent symptom-tracking via a validated App. We aim to perform a longitudinal cohort study to examine the impact of Gastric Alimetry, and changes in clinical management on patient symptoms, quality of life and psychological health.

Methods And Analysis: This is a prospective multicentre longitudinal observational cohort study of participants with chronic gastroduodenal symptoms.

Delayed gastric emptying (GE) has been associated with antral and pyloric dysmotility. We aimed to characterize differences in the antral, duodenal, and pyloric motility profiles associated with delayed GE, using high-resolution antropyloroduodenal manometry (HR-ADM). Patients referred for HR-ADM for dyspeptic symptoms performed a concurrent GE breath test (NCT01519180 and NCT04918329).
