A mid-infrared fiber optical parametric oscillator is proposed and designed based on a three-hole As(2)S(5) suspended-core fiber (SCF). The eigenmodes of the SCF are depicted and the pump condition for single-mode operation is analyzed. The zero-dispersion wavelength is shifted to 2 μm by tuning the core diameter of the SCF. Using the degenerate four-wave mixing coupled-wave equations, a tuning range of the idler wavelength from 2 to 5 μm and a maximum conversion efficiency of 19% are numerically predicted in a 0.1-m-long SCF pumped by a 2.7 W thulium-doped fiber laser.

In this Letter, we report an ultraflat high-power supercontinuum (SC) based on a low-loss short-length fluorotellurite fiber. A novel high-peak power dual-Raman soliton femtosecond laser is used as a pump source, which effectively extends the mid-infrared SC spectral range and enhances the flatness of the SC. Finally, we obtained a 10.

Fabry disease (FD) is a rare disorder resulting from a genetic mutation characterized by the accumulation of sphingolipids in various cells throughout the human body, leading to progressive and irreversible organ damage, particularly in males. Genetically-determined deficiency or reduced activity of the enzyme (alpha - Galactosidase; α-Gal) leads to the accumulation of sphingolipids in the lysosomes of various cell types, including the heart, kidneys, skin, eyes, central nervous system, and digestive system, triggering damage, leading to the failure of vital organs, and resulting in progressive disability and premature death. FD diagnostics currently depend on costly and time-intensive genetic tests and enzymatic analysis, often leading to delayed or inaccurate diagnoses, which contribute to rapid disease progression.

We have developed an effective one-step extrusion method to prepare a nodeless chalcogenide hollow-core anti-resonance fiber, characterized by excellent symmetry and less requirements for drawing pressure in achieving the desired wall thickness. The resulting fiber exhibits excellent uniformity, with an ultra-large effective mode area of 21970 µm and a low overlap factor of = 0.03%.

In this work, we demonstrate a continuous-wave (CW) single-frequency DFG in a ZnGeP (ZGP) crystal driven by all-fiber near-infrared (NIR) fiber lasers, for the first time to our knowledge. The all-fiber NIR laser sources consist of a 1.
