The aim of this study was to explore the feasibility of using electrodermal activity (EDA) to detect changes in physiological arousal linked to perceptions of accommodations, focusing on universal design (UD) features. In environments like hotels, designers must consider wellness, social integration, and cultural appropriateness to effectively implement UD. Challenges exist with implementing and evaluating UD to accommodate diverse user needs due to conflicting definitions and application issues.

The impact of COVID-19 on the Italian population is well-known and has been deeply analysed under the clinical and epidemiological perspectives where the majority of the studies focused on the beginning of the first wave (March-May 2020). However, there is a need for analysing this complex phenomenon integrating the clinical side with the economic and social lens to better understand implications of a pandemic for populations. In their paper Masino and Enria focused the attention on four specific perspectives: health system reaction to the pandemic, inequalities in the work world, social care from the elderly point of view and the government communication challenges.

The use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), particularly diclofenac, during the COVID-19 pandemic has raised concerns due to its potential to worsen disease progression. This commentary evaluates key risks associated with diclofenac and highlights the critical role of pharmacists in mitigating adverse outcomes through careful medication management and patient education. Diclofenac poses unique risks due to its ability to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction.

We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the benefits and harms of pharmacotherapies for patients with calcium oxalate stones and abnormal urine chemistry. This article is a modified and detailed version of the commentary on Clinical Question 10 described in the Japanese Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Urinary Stones, Third Edition. PubMed and Ichushi Web were searched through August 2020 for articles on pharmacotherapies for calcium oxalate stones (thiazides, citrate preparations, uric acid production inhibitors, and magnesium preparations).
