Connecting with traditional knowledge and culture promotes the well-being of Indigenous parents and creates healthy environments for child development. Community Elders in a remote northern community in Alberta, Canada, collaborated with researchers to design a pilot Elders Mentoring Program. The programme aims to support young Indigenous mothers(-to-be), bringing back cultural traditions and teachings.

The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) highlights the ongoing gender inequities in the medical profession, particularly in pay, leadership roles, workplace treatment, and work-life integration. To present evidence of gender disparities in medicine, analyze their root causes, and propose strategies for fostering a more equitable and inclusive environment. Despite progress, women physicians continue to face significant disparities, including lower salaries, underrepresentation in leadership roles, and discrimination.

Limited literature exists on depression in women with GDM, with most studies focusing on pre-pregnancy diabetes or postpartum depression. Progress towards achieving global elimination of hepatitis B virus (HBV) by 2030 remains unsatisfactory. Prevention of mother to child transmission is crucial but current Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) gave diverse recommendations, creating confusion and leading to significant challenges in the practical implementation across various regions owing to global inequity. We reviewed 47 CPGs on the management of hepatitis B during pregnancy against twelve important clinical questions.
