We study a quantum information metric (or fidelity susceptibility) in conformal field theories with respect to a small perturbation by a primary operator. We argue that its gravity dual is approximately given by a volume of maximal time slice in an anti-de Sitter spacetime when the perturbation is exactly marginal. We confirm our claim in several examples.

The quantum circuit model is the most widely used theoretical model for quantum computing. Therefore, determining whether two quantum circuits whose internal structures cannot be seen have the same functionality will be a fundamental problem in future quantum industries, which however turns out to be QMA-hard. Here, based on a photonic system we experimentally implement the equivalence checking of two unknown quantum circuits with real unitary matrix representations, where quantum nonlocality plays a key role and allows us to measure an "average-case" distance between the two quantum circuits very efficiently.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAccurately estimating phase is crucial in continuous-variable quantum key distribution systems, directly impacting the final secret key rate. In previous systems that utilize the local local oscillator, phase estimation is closely tied to the amplitude and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the pilot signal. As SNR decreases, so does the accuracy of phase estimation, leading to increased excess noise and a potential loss of the system's secret key rate.

Halogenated benzenes (HBs) are hydrophobic organic chemicals belonging to persistent organic pollutants. Owing to their persistence, they represent a serious problem in environmental contamination, specifically of soils and sediments. One of the most important physical processes determining the fate of HBs in soils is adsorption to main soil components such as soil organic matter and soil minerals.

A measurement of the dijet production cross section is reported based on proton-proton collision data collected in 2016 at by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to 36.3 . Jets are reconstructed with the anti- algorithm for distance parameters of and 0.

This work studies the generation of the orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam in the double quantum dot-metal nanoparticle (DQD-MNP) system under the application of the OAM beam. First, an analytical model is derived to attain the relations of probe and generated fields as a distance function in the DQD-MNP system under OAM applied field and spontaneously generated coherence (SGC) components. The calculation here is of material property; it differs from others by calculating energy states of the DQDs and the computation of the transition momenta between quantum dot (QD)-QD and QD-wetting layer (WL) transitions.
